by When you’re making much more power than our little stock BMW 328i engine, you need to upgrade the diff to handle it. Chances are, the existing BMW diff is also the wrong ratio, wasting power and making the car whole lot less fun. So for pretty much any LS swap, you also need to upgrade the diff. Or you fully swap it like we did with a Winters quick change diff couple with the Sikky E36 subframe to mount it.
It’s not a totally simple install and you have to cut a bunch of the car out, but it’ll be worth it.
