BMW LS3 Widebody Track Car Episode 2: Chassis Reinforcements

As great as the BMW E36 chassis is, even factory race cars of the era had chassis reinforcements done to them. This involves welding support tabs into key areas of the chassis including the rear subframe and rear trailing arms. See all the steps we took to make the chassis stronger and to seal things back up.

As a side note, we started to hit the limits of our welder and have since upgraded to a gas system. 🙂
